Crafted entirely from Tempranillo grown in Rioja Alta, it combines ripe fruit, savoury complexity, and extended oak ageing into a harmonious whole that speaks clearly of both grape and place.

The Story

Santalba are a family-run producer who have been working in the region since 1964 with a focus on sustainable farming, really high quality, low-yield grapes from old vines, and elegant oak use (they use a mix of American and French oak).

On the palate, it is poised and balanced, with generous concentration, refined structure, and a long, persistent finish. Given time in the glass, the wine continues to unfold, revealing increasing complexity and depth.
